In July 2015, RGIT ran a competition in the EVOLVE student magazine. The competition allowed students to submit a blog story on any topic of their choice.

Liane (Lin-Yen Yu) from the ELICOS GE3 class emerged as the winner, with a story on one of Melbourne's iconic landmark the Queen Victoria Market. 

With vivid descriptions about shopping at the market, she was a clear winner, receiving a $50 Coles Myer gift card and notable mention.

If you're throwing a party or large gathering, a buffet table will likely be the best choice to feed everyone. 

A buffet table is convenient and great for making sure that large numbers of guests will have enough to eat.

The Certificate III Commercial Cookery students prepare an elaborate buffet as part of the curriculum, for approximately 50 staff and students. They are in charge of all aspects, from menu planning to the set up to innovation.

We welcome new beginnings as we open a brand new campus for our domestic students. 

Situated at 152 Elizabeth Street, near Flinders Lane, it is close to many cafes and eateries. This campus serves the VET FEE-HELP students, such as teaching to administration and logistics.

Every term, our hospitality students get to go on a tour excursion to learn about operations management and cooking operations. Our Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) got an inside look at the operations of Langham Hotel in Melbourne this term, and they had a fantastic experience!

A total of 27 students visited the Langham Hotel on Thursday 4 June on an excursion to learn the intricacies of hotel management, commercial operations and commercial cookery.
