Certificate IV students attended WorkSafer, a work health safety and wellbeing expo, at Salamanca, Hobart, over the weekend. Students had a great time learning about work health and safety and how to minimise risks associated with it. Students had the opportunity to network, learn and discuss safety and well being with business leaders and experts in the industry, with some students having a go at CPR and finding different hazards in the workplace.
RGIT head office representative, Sujata, traveled to Sydney to visit students and staff at RGIT Sydney Campus, Bankstown, to provide work placement updates, discuss course delivery and graduation, and to receive student feedback over three days from Sunday, 15 October to Tuesday, 17 October 2017. The visit included discussions with 22 students, including three Early Childhood and Education Care (ECEC) students, ten Community Services students, three Hospitality students, as well as six Advanced Diploma of Business students, Trainers and administration staff.
Hobart Campus hosted a series of agent visits from Tuesday, 10 October to Friday, 13 October 2017. Most visitors were offshore agents primarily based in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Hobart Campus also hosted a dinner for visitors, with the campus seeing almost 30 agents in attendance.
RGIT representative, Niru Tripathi, held two one-hour interactive information sessions at Grace International Academic Consultancy in Chitwan, Nepal, yesterday, 12 October 2017. Both sessions saw RGIT speak with and provide students with information on studying at RGIT, courses, recent progress and developments made at RGIT, as well as what it is like to live and study in Australia.
RGIT Hospitality students, Trainers and staff attended Hospitality Industry Trade Show in Hobart on 5 October 2017. It was a great day and a great opportunity, with RGIT staff and students getting to network and getting to know the big players in the hospitality industry.
Students and Trainers from RGIT's Hobart Campus networked with top industry leaders at Tasmanian Hospitality Association's (THA) 2017 state conference, Hospitality 2020 & Beyond – “Lead and Inspire”, earlier this week.
