ELICOS Virtual Classes Effective Monday, 6 April
This email is to advise that effective Monday, 6 April 2020, all face-to-face teaching for students currently enrolled in ELICOS (General English) at RGIT Australia’s Melbourne and Hobart Campuses will take place via virtual Zoom (video software) classes.
How do I get my class details?
Students will receive an email from their Teacher with instructions on how to access virtual classes closer to the date. Students will receive virtual classes via Zoom by their Teacher, who has been trained to deliver teaching remotely.
RGIT Australia is delivering virtual training and teaching via Zoom to enable students to continue their studies during the ongoing novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, and to safeguard all stakeholders and the community.
How can I participate in my virtual class?
To participate in virtual classes, students will require the below resources:
- Access to an adequate laptop / PC / mobile phone
- Adequate Internet connection
- Antivirus installed on laptop / PC
- Microsoft Office installed Internet browser
- Adobe Reader
- Admin Rights on local PC / Desktop
If students do not have the above-mentioned resources to participate in virtual classes, they should contact admin@rgit.edu.au.

While RGIT Australia staff are working remotely, our Melbourne and Hobart buildings / facilities will be temporarily unavailable. As our staff are working remotely, it’s business as usual at RGIT Australia.
This means that in addition to Trainers and Teachers delivering virtual classes, RGIT Australia’s student support and administration staff will also continue to work remotely to support our students during this time. This includes support and welfare services and student counselling.
