Option 1: Take a train to Flinders Street Station
When planning your journey to RGIT, opting for the train route is highly recommended. Flinders Street Station stands out as Melbourne’s most famous and iconic railway station, conveniently accessible from various parts of the city. With its extensive network, most train lines have direct routes that connect to Flinders Street Station, making it a popular choice for commuters and visitors alike.
Upon arriving at Flinders Street Station, you’ll find yourself immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of Melbourne’s bustling city center. As you step out of the station, take a moment to appreciate the stunning architecture and the lively energy that surrounds you.
To reach our school from Flinders Street Station, a short and enjoyable stroll awaits you. Simply head in the direction of Elizabeth Street, a prominent thoroughfare known for its bustling shops, cafes, and vibrant city life. As you embark on this leisurely walk, take in the sights and sounds of the city, immersing yourself in the unique Melbourne experience.
Within just three minutes of walking along Elizabeth Street, you’ll come across our school, conveniently located on the right-hand side. Look out for our distinctive building and welcoming entrance as you make your way towards us.
Option 2:Take Tram 19/57/59 to Flinders St Railway Station
In addition to taking the train, another convenient option for reaching our school is by tram. If you prefer to utilize Melbourne’s efficient tram system, you can disembark at the Flinders Street Railway Station/Elizabeth St tram stop. This tram stop is conveniently located directly opposite our school, making it a convenient and easily accessible choice for transportation.
Once you arrive at the tram at the Flinders Street Railway Station/Elizabeth St stop, you’ll find yourself just steps away from our school. Simply cross the road and you’ll arrive at our welcoming entrance, ready to embark on your educational journey.
Option 3: Directly from Melbourne Airport
To reach our location conveniently from the airport, you can opt for the Skybus Service. The Skybus offers a direct route from the airport to Southern Cross Station, which serves as a major transportation hub in Melbourne. From Southern Cross Station, you can easily transfer to a train that will take you directly to Flinders Street Station.
Upon arrival at the airport, locate the Skybus service and board the bus heading to Southern Cross Station. Enjoy a comfortable and hassle-free journey as you travel towards the city center. Once you arrive at Southern Cross Station, follow the signs or ask station staff for directions to the train platforms.
At Southern Cross Station, you’ll find a variety of train lines that provide direct service to Flinders Street Station. Check the train schedules and platforms to board the appropriate train. The journey from Southern Cross Station to Flinders Street Station is typically short, allowing for a convenient transfer between the two stations.
Public Transport Tickets and Trams
Tickets for Melbourne’s Myki public transport ticketing system, which covers trams, trains and buses, must be purchased prior to travel at train stations, some tram stops or retail outlets such as 7Eleven. Melbourne is divided into travel zones and your ticket type and cost depends on which zone you are going to travel in and for how long. RGIT Australia is located in the free tram zone in the CBD area. If your tram journey starts or finishes outside the Free Tram Zone, you need to touch on to ensure you have a valid
