Message from the CEO

  • Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work together during this time. I understand the difficulties many of you will be experiencing, and am thankful for your understanding and cooperation which will help us see through this time together.RGIT Australia is actively assessing the risk and impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation every day, and acting in accordance with the latest guidance from the government, public health and regulatory authorities. Our primary focus is the safety and wellbeing of our students, staff and the community. As per the latest updates and advice, we are actively reviewing our situation and working to update our business plans and responses to ensure the most suitable and effective approach.

    While we understand that these are unprecedented times and the situation is changing rapidly, we are doing our utmost to continue to deliver quality education and services as an education provider.

    Virtual Delivery

    RGIT Australia is working proactively, and are delivering courses and programs through virtual learning platforms. We are delivering both VET and ELICOS programs through virtual delivery of face-to-face classes using industry-standard video conferencing software and our Learning Management System (LMS). This delivery method will be used for the remainder of this term and we are prepared to implement it for next term depending on the situation at the time.

    Regulatory Requirements

    We are monitoring the latest updates and continuing to abide by and follow regulatory requirements, government and relevant agencies and their guidelines. I can assure you that our team are doing their best to ensure we are meeting all compliance requirements, and we will continue to do so.

    Supporting our Students

    RGIT Australia understands the impact the current situation may be having on our students. We will continue to make available and encourage our students to reach out to our dedicated team, who are available to support them via phone and email. This includes our student services, student counselling, and academic personnel, who will continue to be there for our students throughout their learning experience at RGIT Australia. In recognising the current mode of delivery, we feel it is especially important for our support staff to continue to assist students to ensure a supportive and satisfactory learning experience. In light of the current circumstances, we have in place operations and methods of course delivery to align with the practices of ‘social distancing’ and are communicating community efforts and practices of good hygiene and isolation. This is to maintain and contribute to the efforts of maintaining the safety and welfare of our students, staff and the wider community.

    We will continue to monitor the effectiveness of our current mode of delivery, and in alignment with our strategies, will work to deliver on practices that will encourage opportunities of utmost beneficial and satisfactory course delivery to our students. Our students are our future, and so by utilising these current technological infrastructures and remote methods of delivery, we aim to provide our students with a platform of maximised opportunity to gain experiences in current industry methods of delivery and a modern learning environment.
