Course Description – First Aid Training Course in Australia
RGIT Australia combines first aid theory and practical training to provide the skills and knowledge so students can provide first aid response procedures, life support skills, management of casualty until the arrival of medical or other assistance in a range of situations. CPR is included in this training course.
Our trainers and assessors are highly qualified and have extensive experience in First Aid Course & Training.
Students will learn how to:
- Respond to an emergency situation
- Apply appropriate first aid procedures
- Communicate details of the incident
- Evaluate the incident and own performance
Application
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and work place settings.

Course Delivery of First Aid Course in Melbourne

Method: This is a classroom-based course that combines theory and simulated learning.
Course Duration

Assessment
A range of assessment methods may be used to assess the performance and knowledge of participants. Simulated assessment environments must simulate the real-life working environment where these skills and knowledge would be performed, with all the relevant equipment and resources of that working environment.
You will also be sent a link for an online assessment a week prior to the on-campus class. This is done to ensure that all the participants get enough time to go through the theory portion and complete the online assessment. The prior online assessment is compulsory and requires the participant to score full marks.
Certification
Upon successful completion of HLTAID003 – Provide first aid, students will be issued a Statement of Attainment (SOA) within one week of completing the course.
