About the role

Nurse Educator will provide academic leadership in delivering specific units of study in the learning program.   • Bachelors of Nursing degree or higher

  • Minimum 1-2 years current professional experience in teaching certificate level qualification (preferable)

  • Current work experience in the industry relevant to the subject being delivered .

About the role

The Clinical Placement Officer is responsible for coordinating and maintaining a working relationship with health facilities/health service coordinators. It will also include the clinical placement for nursing students that will need to meet the necessities of the academic and compliance requirements.

As a Clinical Placement Officer, you will be delivering engaging training to pass on your knowledge and skills to diverse and interesting student groups to ensure they meet their study and career goals.

 

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate and promote work placement requirements through information sessions, new student orientation, in-class presentations, online median and in concert with college student support services.
  • Liaise with Child Care, Aged Care, Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Doctor's Clinics for placement.
  • Organize Compliant MOU between RGIT and Work Place and students.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance and Quality Assurances team and ensure the policies are compliant.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions on the relevant stages of the student lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintenance of a database of appropriate health facilities.
  • Record student placement details on the student management system.
  • Deal with work placement correspondence internally and externally.
  • Organize work placements and support students in the work placement process.
  • Deal effectively with any issues/concerns that arise in accordance with work placement.
  • Carry out Health & Safety assessments of work placement settings, and to be aware of the issues surrounding Health & Safety/Safeguarding within the workplace environment
  • Distribution of relevant documentation to health facilities and student.
  • Reviews and tracks student progression and clinical placements completeness and compliance with Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board.
  • Collaborate with facilities and hospitals to prepare, revise, and submit student learning outcomes, objectives, and competencies during their clinical placements.
  • Assist in identifying equipment and technology needs that are currently used in clinical simulation lab to ensure it meets the industry requirement (reviewing the equipment in the workplace to ensure we have the correct and updated technology.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with health provider's management and staff.
  • Undertaking regular monitoring of application statuses and providing relevant advice to students.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Position purpose

The Compliance Manger is to ensure all aspects of compliance (including but not limited to Skills first and Fee Help programs) is fully met and rigorously monitored. The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring the overall compliance requirements of RGIT.

Position responsibilities

  • Develop compliance monitoring plans based on legislative and regulatory requirements the areas of academic, administrative and marketing
  • ​Carry out regular monitoring of all programs
  • ​Update policies, procedures and administrative documentation for compliance purposes

Work based Training Coordinator (Hospitality Program)

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in field relating to business or marketing

Job tasks and responsibilities

Position purpose

The purpose of this role is to provide educational leadership to ECEC trainers and assessors as well as coordinating and supervising the vocational educational and business activities of RGIT Australia's ECEC program(s), allocated to them. The Coordinator has a key role in assuring the quality of RGIT Australia's academic programs and facilitating student success at RGIT Australia.

Position responsibilities

  • Ensure ECEC program operations are conducted in accordance with compliance requirements
  • Manage ECEC program operations and ensure they are satisfactorily conducted to maintain organisational operations
  • Monitor student activity and ensure they are provided with support for satisfactory course progress
  • Ensure the development of programs is upheld in a team environment to foster a culture that embraces continuous improvement and best practice
  • Monitor ECEC department staff activity and provide them with ongoing support and assistance to ensure efficient and effective performance

Skills and experience

Selection Criteria

  • Diploma or above in Early Childhood Education and Care. 
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110)
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience
  • Minimum 2 years in training and assessing students
  • Minimum 1 year experience in coordinating programs
  • Minimum 2 years experience managing staff
  • Significant industry experience will be well regarded
  • Basic computer skills necessary
  • Learner Management System experience is preferable
  • Student Management System (RTO Manager) experience is preferable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced ability to multitask and prioritise multiple responsibilities
  • Basic ability to easily mix well with others and satisfactorily carry out tasks in liaison with colleagues

The ideal applicant will possess demonstrated experience in relevant sector and teaching of nursing, including evidence in the use of effective innovative and flexible teaching methods and information and communication technologies. You have a strong record in competence which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed and will demonstrate effective skills in planning, development, implementation, operation and review of programs to achieve a quality-learning environment for students and staff.

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in coordinating / delivering courses in the VET industry and monitoring and reporting VET compliance issues in nursing
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110)
  • Experience in health, community services or foundation skills in accredited training packages
  • Current and valid police check clearance
  • Current and valid working with children check
  • Minimum 5 years nursing experience
  • Current AHPRA Registered Division 1 Nurse and number

This is an internship position. We are looking for interns who are final year IT (Networking) students, or very recent graduates, who live in Melbourne.

The internship will be for three months and will be unpaid volunteer position. It will commence as soon as possible.

Full training, supervision and a personal project will be provided to the interns.
