Certificate III in Patisserie Stage 4 students treated Melbourne campuses to plated quiches, pastries and other desserts to fulfil the unit 'Coordinate Cooking Operations' yesterday afternoon.

RGIT Stage 4, Certificate IV Patisserie students and their trainer, Chris, visited some of Melbourne’s finest patisseries as part of an excursion to Produce Chocolate, a course unit, on Wednesday, 8 November 2017. Students had the opportunity to explore different types, styles and designs of cakes at patisseries such as Le Petit Gateau, Haighs, Lindt, Koko Black. Students enjoyed the excursion learning how to make quality chocolates and gateaux, and have been inspired to bring to the table their own creations in the coming days.

RGIT Stage 4, Certificate IV Patisserie students and their Trainer, Debra, visited 15 patisseries, chocolate and cake shops in Melbourne’s CBD and Melbourne's south as part of an excursion for their unit “Produced yeast based products” on Friday, 10 November 2017. Students had a great time discussing what each shop offered, the visual appearance of the pastries and the shops themselves, and of course a little taste here and there of Melbourne's finest pastries.

Both Melbourne and Hobart campuses welcomed new students at the end of September.
Students received information packs and had the chance to meet their trainers and coordinators.
